CAPT RAJ MOHINDRA, MANAGING DIRECTOR
Passionate about the education sector in India and with a deep desire to make a difference, Captain Mohindra commands to his credit a large number of schools that he has helped set up – from conceptualisation to final commissioning.
Captain Mohindra has a distinguished track record. Formerly the Chief Executive, Indian Express, Mumbai; Director, India Supply Mission, London; Commander (S) INS VIKRANT (aircraft carrier) and General Manager (Commercial), Shipping Corporation of India, Captain Mohindra founded the educational consultancy in 1997 specialising in setting up new educational institutions, especially international schools and schools affiliated to pan-India Boards. Capt Mohindra was also the Founder Director of the Mahindra United World College of India (MUWCI), its first CEO and Project Director and was associated with the UWC movement in India from 1982 to 1998.
Her Majesty Queen Noor of Jordan, President of the UWCs, awarded Capt Mohindra a special commendation “In recognition of his outstanding skill, courage, selflessness and absolute determination in the accomplishment of this long-standing dream. His commitment is exemplary within the history of United World Colleges.” His role in setting up a UWC in India was also commended by HRH the Prince of Wales, the former President of the UWCs.
Today, Raj Mohindra Consultants is a leading consultancy in this field and the international schools set up by it have consistently featured amongst the top in the country in the annual rankings by EducationWorld, Bengaluru.
Capt Mohindra was awarded the Lifetime Achievement in Education Leadership Award 2016 by EducationWorld, Bengaluru.
MR ROHIT MOHINDRA, DIRECTOR
Rohit has overall responsibility for project planning, project implementation and RMC business development.
He has a BS in Electrical Engineering from Lafayette College, Pennsylvania, USA, and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.
Rohit has overseen challenging projects to completion where RMC has been assigned an implementation role, and has in the past been involved in the preparation of educational content for educational service providers in the United States. He was selected as one of the 51 NEW MILLENNIUM EDUPRENEURS by EducationWorld on the commemorative occasion of its 14th anniversary in November 2013.
MR NARAYANAN HARIHARAN, DIRECTOR
A Fellow of the Company Secretaries of India and Associate of the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India, Mr Hariharan is one of the founders of the Institue of Company Secretaries of India. He was closely associated with the development of the Mahindra United World College of India and was the Company Secretary and a member of the Board of Governors.
Mr Hariharan is the founder of the Senior Citizens’ Settlement Foundation and has done outstanding work in setting up homes for senior citizens in India.
DR JOGESH MOTWANI
Jogesh Motwani is an alumnus of august institutions like IIT Bombay and Northern Illinois University where he graduated with a Masters in Computer Science. He also has a PhD in Mathematics from IIT, Mumbai. As a consultant with Zee Education (ZILS), Jogesh created and coordinated their 4-year Bachelors Programme in Information Technology. He has been involved in teaching school and college children for the past twenty five years as a private tutor in mathematics, science and IT. He has also assisted in creating a curriculum for Non-Formal Education (NFE) in India.
MR PRAVIN DESHPANDE
Pravin Deshpande is a Chartered Accountant specialising in educational finance. Pravin is also an expert in the financial structuring of new and existing projects, obtaining project finance, financial budgeting and forecasting, auditing, taxation, management consultancy, investment consultancy and preparation of ‘Due Diligence’ reports for acquisition or sale of schools. Pravin is a Director in a financial and management consulting private company and has more than 20 years of experience as a finance professional. Pravin has been associated with RMC for the last 10 years.
MS SUPARNA DAS
Suparna has more than 16 years of experience as PYP teacher and PYP Coordinator, and has been the PYP Coordinator at leading schools such as the Ecole Mondiale World School, Niraj International School, Lancers International School, The Calorx School and The Ahmedabad International School. She has taken schools through both the initial authorisation as well as the evaluation. Suparna is highly experienced in all aspects of the PYP – accreditation processes, curriculum development and documentation, professional development, resource management and communication with staff and parents. She currently also works as a freelance coach and mentor to PYP schools.

MR JOHN GUYATT
John Guyatt took his Post Graduate Certificate in Education at London University’s Institute of Education. He was the Undermaster at Sevenoaks School, Kent, UK. His consultancy work has involved advising schools globally and, most recently, helping create the United World College Dilijan. He has contributed to the founding of the Dhirubhai Ambani International School in Mumbai, and continues to act as consultant and governor at schools in Hyderabad and Chennai. John has been associated with Raj Mohindra Consultants for the last 10 years and is currently their Advisor based in London.
PROF CHRISTOPHER CHARLES BENNINGER
Prof Christopher Charles Benninger has had a rare career of 5 decades: as an institution builder and professor, as a UN and World Bank consultant, and as a Master Architect designing many modern Institutions fuelling development in India.
One of India’s highly decorated architects, his well-known award winning projects include the Mahindra United World College of India, designed in collaboration with Capt Raj Mohindra. He was also involved in the designing of Stonehill International School planned by Raj Mohindra Consultants Pvt Ltd.
Benninger settled in India in 1971, founding the School of Planning at Ahmedabad, where he continues as a Distinguished Professor. His name appears alongside Geoffrey Bawa, Charles Correa and Balkrishna Doshi as one of the few recipients of the Great Master Architect Award in India presented every three years.
MR MARIO FISHERY
Mario has almost 16 years of experience in strategic planning, leadership and innovation, and change management in the field of information technology. He has a master’s degree in Information Management and is an advisor to international schools for infrastructure guidance for a host of IT solutions.
Mario’s current position as Director of Technology Support at the American School of Bombay, Mumbai, involves leading the IT infrastructure and IT support operations, providing critical support in a school known for being a world leader in education. In collaboration with the science department, he also paved the way for VR and AR in learning, by adopting state-of-the-art technological innovations such as AR sandbox, 360-degree classroom training walkthrough, projection mapping, and more.
